Construction of 6 new soccer fields for the Town of Halton Hills, Ontario began in October 2009. Nellis Construction was retained to perform the earth work portion of this contract. The topsoil was stripped from the fields using motor scrapers and stockpiled to be reused later.

Bulldozers were used to shape the fields. Due to the wet conditions, an excavator and off-road haulers move the remainder of the excavation on frozen haul roads. Grading of the soccer fields was completed using a dozer equipped with a GPS grade control system.
