In July of 2012 Nellis Construction was contracted to excavate a drainage channel in Brampton called The Natural Heritage System. A temporary water diversion channel was built to keep the flow of water clean and away from construction activity while the ultimate water channel was excavated. Topsoil was stripped and placed into a stockpile to be used later by the landscaping crew. Excavated material was placed onto the adjacent lands for future development. A landscape crew planted sod, seed & shrubs and in 2013 the flow of water was diverted into the ultimate channel.
